About Dr. Raquel Manning
Dr. Raquel Manning is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Dr. Raquel works in private practice in the Central Florida area, providing clinical and sport & performance psychology services to adolescents and adults.
Raquel prides herself on having a warm, relaxed and approachable counseling style. She believes in treating each individual with the same level of respect, compassion, patience, and sensitivity while also valuing their cultural diversity and identities. Raquel’s therapeutic approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, client-focused, and trauma-focused techniques.
Raquel understands that rapport and therapeutic relationships are extremely important when serving clients, therefore she is committed to taking time to make sure she is the right fit for you. She will never be offended if you feel you need a different approach. It takes courage to take the steps to start counseling and she will honor and respect your journey through this season of life. Outside of the Office
Dr. Raquel loves spending time with family and friends. Her favorite things to do are playing games with family, going on trips, brunch dates, going on walks, family movie nights, and listening to music. She is also passionate about serving the youth in her community. She started a non-profit organization, Empowering Youth of Polk, Inc. with the mission to empower youth through education, social-emotional learning, opportunities for youth leadership, skill building, and connections between youth and adults.

Educational Background
Dr. Raquel is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Professional School Counselor. She received her A.A. degree from Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, FL where she also competed on the Women’s Volleyball team. She continued her education and athletic career at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She received her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and a certification in School/Guidance Counseling from the University of South Florida. She earned her doctoral degree in Sport & Performance Psychology from the University of Western States and currently pursuing certification as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association of Applied Sport Psychology.
